WHATSAPP BUSINESS CONNECTIONS · UPDATED 16 OCTOBER 2026

WhatsApp data deletion.

How to disconnect an account and request deletion of data held by Bigmints.

1. Disconnect the account

Sign in to the product where you connected WhatsApp. Open its WhatsApp account settings and choose Disconnect. You must have permission to manage that connection. Check the resulting status: a pending cleanup message means that the disconnection has not fully completed.

Disconnection stops that product connection from being used for new messaging once cleanup completes. It does not delete your WhatsApp account, erase messages from recipients’ devices, or automatically delete all stored product records.

2. Request deletion from Bigmints

Use the button below to contact Bigmints FZE. Identify the product, your business name and the connected account. Tell us whether you want connection records, message records or both reviewed for deletion. Do not include passwords, verification codes, access tokens or unnecessary message content.

We will confirm your authority over the business before acting, identify the records within our control and explain the result. Records subject to legal obligations, security investigations or another applicable retention requirement may need to be retained; we will explain any applicable limitation. Backups and records held by other services may follow a separate deletion process.

3. Review Meta and product access

You can also review and remove the app’s access in your Meta business settings. Removing access at Meta and disconnecting in a product are separate steps. To delete records held in a self-hosted Youbot installation, contact the administrator of that installation. For data controlled by another business, contact that business.

Deleting records at Bigmints does not remove copies already held by Meta, another business or a message recipient.
